The FISSAC Consortium gives you a warm welcome back after the summer period, hoping you all had the chance to rest a bit in this challenging period.
We take this opportunity to share with you the last public deliverables of the project. There are several topics in the focus, such as standardization linked to the FISSAC products (link), further findings from Living Labs (link), circular businesses models for industrial symbiosis (link), replicability (link), performance evaluation (link) and the final version of the data management plan (link). If you want to know more about the Final Conference, here you can have an overview of the exciting activities that took place during the event and through this report you will get an overview of the dissemination process put in place.
We wish you a nice reading!
The last project webinar took place today and it described the main features of the FISSAC Industrial Symbiosis platform, thanks to the contribution of the developers of this online tool.
The FISSAC platform helps users to maximise the environmental, social and financial benefits of Industrial Symbiosis networks to support circular economy structure. Following the structure of a tutorial, the webinar explains how the platform can facilitate the formation and operation of IS networks. Furthermore, even if the main target users are industrial symbiosis experts and facility users, simpler observers can also make use of the platform, just selecting a different kind of account. In that case, they will have an overview and collect specific information related to Industrial Symbiosis experiences in Europe.
Did you miss the webinar? Do not worry, the recording is already available here.

The platform is able to support decision making in material flow analyses and industrial clustering. The fundamental aim of the FISSAC IS platform is to demonstrate and maximize environmental, social and financial benefits of Industrial Symbiosis networks to support circular economy structure. Furthermore, the platform will facilitate the formation and operation of IS networks.

European projects are always full of logos with high-quality design and FISSAC, with its 25 partners, is surrounded by logos. Yet, the success of FISSAC is the result of collaboration not only among organisations and companies but also among different cultures, languages, people. In these 4 and a half years of work, the symbiosis generated wasn’t only industrial. It has been a human symbiosis made of respect, mutual learning, and cooperation.
For once, it’s time to give space to those faces which have been behind the project and worked hard to reach important results in fostering the industrial symbiosis in the construction sector. Let them explain to you what FISSAC means.
What’s there behind the logos?
