“AREA OF HAMMAREN” – A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE OF BUILDING AS MATERIAL BANK

Stena Fastigheter, Ikano Bostad and FISSAC are happy to invite you to Högsbo, Göteborg to a workshop that focuses on finding ways how to use buildings as material banks. The goal of the day is to discuss how to increase the recycling and reuse rates of building materials as well as avoid waste to landfill.

Background:
Stena Fastigheter and Ikano Bostad, that own the property in Högsbo, have an ambition to develop the property in a sustainable way. For property owner that means developing and building with a focus on resource efficiency and innovation. That work has already began. At the first stage of the project, the existing industrial building is being demounted in a way that the valuable materials available in the existing building could be reused in the new production.
